Many clients come in experiencing low desire/libido or desire discrepancy between partners. In this course, we teach you the multitude of factors to consider in assessing this concern as well as a variety of treatment options for clients, depending on the cause. You'll leave with a variety of intervention options to help clients reconnect sexually.

Course Objectives

  • Explain the difference between desire and arousal and how that plays a role in desire discrepancy
  • Identify two different sexual response models and be able to explain them to clients 
  • Obtain assessment considerations to better understand the cause of desire discrepancy
  • Identify four or more interventions to use with clients with desire discrepancy
These objectives meet CK-E and CK-I AASECT Sex Therapy Certification requirements.
